68Intersurgical • Quality, innovation and trustAnaesthetic Breathing Systems • Coaxial Breathing SystemsThe ‘universal’ systemUniFlow™ is a coaxial breathing system, with the inspiratory limb sitting inside the larger expiratory tube, which allows the gases to warm and remain humidified through to the patient.The fully extendible Intersurgical Compact tube attaches to the expiratory port on the anaesthetic machine which allows for extension and manoeuvrability.Connecting the UniFlowAll UniFlow systems have a clear 22F connection with a directional arrow marked on the manifold (see Fig.2). This should be connected to the inspiratory gas port on the anaesthetic machine.
